Statue of the ever peaceful Santa Marija is part of this unique piece of wood found here in Malta.  I felt to leave all the rusty nails just as I found them  - they are somehow symbolic  - but have no significance in the presence of Marija. 

The thickness of this piece allows it to stand unsupported on a table - but it also fits well hanging on a wall.  Either way, it is a special piece!
