Portimao Church, Portugal

This was a nice old church in Portimao that caught my attention. It was interesting, as it's age and character showed through the nice new paint job creating a unique energy about it. In the mid-day sun the white paint was so incredibly bright - it felt like this church was reflecting back to the community all the love and care it had received over the years.
This piece of drift wood was found on a remote island in Indonesia, and is likely as old as the church. It also needed our love and care as it was too rough for painting, but I have some tricks of the trade to fill areas and make it work . It also has some remnants of the original blue color and likely was part of an old boat. All in all I am very happy with how it turned out - it will make a great eye catching addition to a living space somewhere in the world..... and nothing makes me happier than that!
