This door is the entrance to the provincial Carabinieri - which are the police who have civil as well as military duties, such as maintaining public order. You may be wondering how I know this … no I did not spend a night in jail there - but if hanging around and taking pictures of their beautiful door is a crime …. I’m guilty!
It’s visually intriguing because there are 3 doors in alignment and you see right through them all to the other side. The middle door is all glass and always has some type of reflection across it. I tried to keep the reflection very discrete and accentuate the depth and three-dimensionality. I’m happy!
