Valletta, Merchant Street - Malta K-04

This is a very special piece!  I found the wood wedged between some rocks in Ponza - a quiet little Island off the Italian coast.  It clearly came from a small shipwrecked fishing boat as the ribs of the boat are still attached  - and I left them as I found it. 

This type of wood is my favorite as it has many old layers of original paint  - which I blend into the original building look.  The effect is captivating!
